EP1: The Bannock Road

In the first episode, Felipe and Jodi travel to the boreal forests of kâniyâsihk Cultural Camps. With the guidance of Dr. Kevin Lewis from Ministikwan Lake Cree Nation in Treaty 6 Territory, they learn the cultural significance of the beaver, how to cook beaver tail, and how to prepare many other historical recipes from the region.

Felipe then meets with Rachel Smith of Bannock Express in the second segment. Together they
try the Aunties Bannock Burger while browsing the shops of Saskatoon.

In the final segment, Felipe shows the fanciest side of this culinary journey with a visit to

Moose Woods Home Fire Grill at the Dakota Dunes Resort, savoring a sumptuous

dessert hosted by sous chef Kirk Ermine.
